At Skin Contact our mission is to provide you with an opportunity to be present, to be together, and to feel engaged with your senses.

Wine traverses places, people, and palates in a way that few other sensory experiences can. Each bottle holds its own story, capturing a moment in time. Our blind wine tastings enable these stories to be told and shared, whilst also helping us to slow down, connect, and feel.

It’s our very own antidote to an increasingly distant and fragmented world.

What we do.

We create and deliver bespoke wine tastings for you to experience at your own private event. We come to you, beautiful glass wear in hand and guide you through an unforgettable wine tasting.

The list is curated based on the wines you’re interested in, your level of wine experience, and the budget you have set. Tastings will vary in style depending on the type of experience you’re after.

Whether you’re a wine novices or a connoisseur, a group of competitive wine tasters, or you just want something new and exciting to do on a Friday night, we’ve got you covered. We can also facilitate blind tastings using bottles from your own cellar.

How we do it.

  • Help us tailor your wine list by completing a wine fitting. Our intuitive program will help identify what you want and what don’t. Don’t like pet nat? Only want wines from Spain? no worries! The fitting will capture all of this and we will fit the tasting to you.

  • With the guidance of the fitting, Tom will work his magic and design a killer wine tasting for you and your group.

  • We will get back to you with a blind quote for you to review.

    If you’re happy, we are ready to book, and move onto the last and most important step…

  • We come to you, we bring glasses, tasting mats, and of course; your custom selection of wines for your blind tasting experience.

FAQs.

  • Tom! Tom is the owner of Skin Contact and our resident wine geek. Tom could lose hours speaking about wine, and his passion is infectious.

  • Geelong, Surf Coast, Bellarine, Western suburbs of Melbourne.

  • To give you a mindful experience. Tasting wine blind removes judgement and bias and give you chance to disconnect from the mental chatter.

  • 2 hours if you elect to taste 6 wines, longer if you want to taste more

  • We suggest you taste 6, but you can elect to taste up from 4 to 8.

  • During the fitting you will allocate a budget of what you would ideally like to spend per bottle. We will design a list of wines all within this range. Your quote will include the price of each bottle of wine, plus our hourly rate, and fees.

  • Maximum 8 people
